1. About 856.today
856.today is a digital platform that provides:
- Tours, activities, experiences, and attractions
- City passes and bundled experiences
- Transportation, cruises, rentals, and charter services
- Bookings operated by independent local suppliers
856.today acts as a booking and distribution platform, not the direct operator of all activities unless explicitly stated.
2. Eligibility & Use
You must:
- Be at least 18 years old or have legal guardian consent
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Use the Service for lawful purposes only
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if misuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms is detected.
3. Bookings & Reservations
a) Booking Confirmation
- A booking is confirmed once payment is successfully completed and a confirmation is issued.
- Availability is subject to supplier confirmation.
b) Supplier Responsibility
Each activity is operated by an independent supplier who is responsible for:
- Safety standards
- Licenses and permits
- Service delivery as described
856.today is not liable for supplier acts or omissions.
4. Pricing & Payments
- Prices are displayed in the selected currency and may include taxes or fees where applicable.
- Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers.
- 856.today does not store full payment card details.
We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before or after booking confirmation.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Standard Activities
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time unless otherwise stated.
- Late cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable.
Charter Tours & Private Services
- Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the scheduled start time.
- Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.
Entrance Tickets & Third-Party Fees
- Entrance fees, tickets, or permits are non-refundable once issued.
Refunds, when applicable, will be processed to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.
6. Changes & Cancellations by Supplier
Suppliers may modify or cancel activities due to:
- Weather conditions
- Safety concerns
- Force majeure events
- Operational constraints
In such cases, you may be offered:
- An alternative date or service
- A partial or full refund, depending on the situation
7. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Arrive on time for activities
- Follow safety instructions and local laws
- Disclose relevant health conditions when required
- Behave respectfully toward staff, guides, and other guests
Failure to comply may result in denial of service without refund.
8. Assumption of Risk
Many activities involve inherent risks (e.g., transport, water activities, trekking).
By booking, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to participate at your own responsibility.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- 856.today shall not be liable for personal injury, loss, damage, delay, or cancellation caused by suppliers, third parties, or events beyond our control.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the booking in question.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on 856.today (text, images, logos, branding, app content) is the property of 856.today or its partners and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.
11. Third-Party Services & Links
The Service may include links to third-party platforms (e.g., OTAs, payment providers).
We are not responsible for their content, policies, or services.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to:
- Suspend or terminate accounts
- Cancel bookings suspected of fraud or misuse
- Restrict access without prior notice if these Terms are violated
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes shall be resolved through competent courts in Laos.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time.
Updated versions will be published on the app or website with a revised “Last updated” date.
Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
