Starts at 4.20PM.
Embark on a two-hour sunset cruise aboard Laos’ first eco-friendly solar-powered boat.
As you gently glide along the Mekong River, the sky transforms into a canvas of golden hues—an unforgettable backdrop to your Luang Prabang adventure.
Begin the experience with a complimentary Lao mojito as you settle in and enjoy the serenity of the river. As the evening cools, cozy blankets are provided for a comfortable ride back to the dock under the stars.
Along the way, take part in a traditional Lao ceremony. Write your wishes on a bamboo leaf and release them into the river, along with a small fish—a meaningful act symbolizing the letting go of burdens and inviting good fortune.
Enjoy a curated Lao tasting platter, served on board and designed to showcase the variety and flavor of local cuisine. While presented as a single meal platter, it includes a range of traditional dishes, such as:
Sticky Rice (Chao Mal)
Mekong River Weed (Khai Phen)
Fried Spring Rolls (Nam Juan)
Fresh Spring Rolls (Nam Dip)
Steamed Fish in Banana Leaves (Mok Pah)
Chopped Pork Meat Stuffed in Lemongrass (Oua Si Khai – small bite-sized portion)
Stir-fried Mixed Vegetables (Puk Luam Mit)
Savor these flavors as you take in the calm beauty of the Mekong River by twilight—an evening of culture, taste, and quiet magic.
Please note:
- The meal is served as a shared tasting platter, in line with Lao culinary customs, and portioned to allow sampling of each dish.
- The cruise departs every day at 4:30 PM and returns around 6.30 PM, lasting approximately 2 hours. This is an estimated range, which may vary slightly depending on Mekong River navigability and safety conditions.
